Description

Workplace culture has undergone a dynamic shift. For many organizations, culture has been redefined by remote work, the talent shortage, increased mental health awareness, the focus on DEI initiatives, and the list continues.

In the face of these changes, leaders have been searching for ways to engage and motivate employees while staying true to the organization's culture. A recent study showed that for 81% of workers, culture influenced whether they put maximum effort into their work. This directly impacts profitability. Lastly, maintaining a healthy culture increases your organization's competitive edge in seeking talent.

All the work and energy leaders put into developing the culture can be undermined when countercultures and subcultures emerge. Subcultures develop when we fail to protect the culture by clearly establishing "how things are done around here." In failing to do that, employees singularly or collectively create a space where their values and standards become primary compared to the organization's.

Areas Covered:-

  • Fragmentation of Organizational Unity
  • Conflicting Values and Norms
  • Resistance to Change
  • Communication Breakdowns.
